Works, does what it should do. Just way too noisy, and you have to remove the whole top of the unit to empty it which causes a mess.

Owned in excess of one year. Have owned at least four other, more expensive shredders. This one has been the best! I shred everything with identifying info. Synthetic mailing labels get marked through with an indelible marker, cut with sissors and/or wadded up and flushed down the toilet. Fine paper, i.e. newspaper should also go down the toilet. If you take care of it and don't demand more performance than it is designed to deliver you will be pleased. If you feel that it is too noisy, or the bin is too small, or if your use causes it to overheat you probably need to purchase a two or three hundred dollar machine. If you are using for personal identity theft deterence and don't like to spend money then this is an appropriate machine for you. The only inconvenience that I've experienced is that I prefer to take the bin outside to empty it so that the fine paper dust does not make its way into my computer's cooling system. The dust issue could probably be circumvented by installing a disposable plastic bag in the bin prior to placing the shredder head on the unit.\nHappy shredding!

We use this product for making litter for ferrets but we bought the last one and it had no owners manual. It worked perfectly for the first month and then the head split and the cutters protruded. Upon trying to return it I was told that even though the information about voiding the guaranteed if it was used to shred newspapers (even though it cuts through paper clips and staples) was not found in the online description nor did it appear any wear on the box. I feel this was deceptive and very poor business practice and will never purchase anything from this corporation.

Within a month, this shredder was broken after using it for a few times. I wouldn't recommend this shredder to anyone.

I have returned this product three times for a new machine. it does not last more than 2-3 weeks before it burns out.

It really makes the old shredder look rich and this one is for poor me and the old shredder would rip a liner everytime. This one works almost as well (if you follow instructions).
