unlike particle board of days gone by the particle board in this unit literally crumbled in my hand...it took a ton of glue to put it back together. The design matched the desk I bought so I did everything I could to 'make it work'. Had I known before I started the construction project, I would have sent it back!!!!!

No assembly instructions or hardware came with this item. I went through the box and packaging several times to make sure. I had to repackage and schlep this heavy thing back to the store. Very inconvenient and sloppy. Item also had an overpowering smell when I opened the package[...]
