This is a nice piece of furniture for what you are paying. I put the shelf on top of the double-door piece of the same collection and it looks great. Staples mentions you can put the double-door piece on top of the drawer piece of this collection but nothing about the shelf piece but it works just fine. When you put the shelf on top it only takes about half of the top board still giving you counter space.
