Eco-Friendly Properties:Anji Mountain Bamboo matures at 5-6 years old, growing from a small plant to over 70 feet tall in that time period. When a bamboo tree is cut down for harvesting, from that cutting a branching system of new sprouts occurs. For every tree cut down, another 3-5 new plants takes it's place. Furthermore, during the process of making the item, everything is used...even the bamboo saw dust, which is then used in the furnaces to help power there machinery. After a few months this mat started cracking and gave me a couple of splinters. I called [...], they were very nice but told me I would have to call the manufacturer for replacement. When I called Anji, they told me it was way out of warranty and they would not replace, rudely I might add. [...]

After going through SEVERAL plastic chair mats made specifically for carpets. I decided to shop throwing my money away. I specifically purchased it after receiving a chair mat that was already broken. The bamboo mat may cost more than the plastic ones, but it more than pays for itself.

As an added benefit, I laid flat as soon as I rolled it out.

The chairmat is used on a rug in an executive office. It has a nice color and seems to wear well. It looks good too... better than those plastic chairmats. We are contemplating getting one for all of our offices.
