THIS IS JUNK!!! We bought this in March '09 and it stopped cooling after a few weeks and to add to that, there was a weird taste. I had to go through the manufacturer and they said they can only do an exchange. And they did not pick up the defective cooler, we had to dispose of it ourselves. After doing the strange stuff they asked (like cutting 5" off the power cord) and mailing a "processing" fee, we got another one, AND IT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!!!! This time it stopped cooling after 2 days AND the weird taste was back and it tasted worse!!! So our non-profit is out all this money. We're going back to our water supplier's rental cooler because that worked fabulous. I implore you, DO NOT BUY THIS WATER "COOLER"!!!

this product does not have a thing that sticks out in the center that automatically removes the cap of 5 gallon bottles. Thus, the water collects in the basin and produces a really bad tasting water. It does not taste like spring water at all. The room temp water is colder than room temp.

I ordered the unit to have fresh drinking water in the house at all times. The first unit knocked very bad. We waited two days to see if it would quiet down, it did not. I called and was sent another one, the same exact noise in the second one, like a hammer was inside the compressor. I called the MFG. they were no help and rude. I then sent the second one back and asked for a refund. This product reflects badly on your company, in todays tough times quality needs to be first. I suggest someone take the time to look at the two units and get the MFG on board or delete there product line.

The product stopped cooling water after 1 month. A call to Avanti told us they do not service this unit because it is too small. We have to remove the unit number, cut the cord & send everything to them with a check for $10. Then they will send us another unit that they can't guarantee will work for more than a month.
