After few years one of the shelves fell down. I hoped that 1 inch thick shelves will not bend from weight of books, but they still did, and the brackets were too small to hold with the shelves bent. Also, because the shelves are so thick, there is less space to hold books. I just bought a whole set of nice metal bookcases, and I cannot be happier.
