I bought these because I like to keep coloring materials in my car for my daughter (for use at restaurants and other places too boring for kids), but 100 plus degrees in Arizona tends to melt most crayons. We took these on vacation with us, and they seemed to occupy my daughter quite well when paired with small coloring books. If these were triangular, they would have been perfect, as they kept rolling off the airplane tray table, but the package is so easy to access, we just kept them in there.

The only complaint I have is that you cannot re-insert the colored lead if you child decides to twist out way too much and then breaks the lead. In which case, it's operator error - but she's three.

This is awonderful product. There are many bright colors, so I can use different colors for Old Testament, Parables and words of Jesus, Advice of the Apostles, etc.. Sure makes it easier then having to sharpen a colored pencil and hoping the lead will not break in the sharpener, even if you are using a good sharpener. LOVE THEM!
