This staple puller works great removing staples from walls. It does not take the paint and wall board with it; just the staple. The staples even cling to it instead of falling all over the floor.

This is not a heavy-duty staple remover -- it's intended for standard staples and it removes those easily. The trick is to get it started and slide it forward -- the wedge-shaped profile will lift the staple out as you slide it forward. Its thin metal tongue easily goes under a staple to get it started.

(For heavy-duty staples you should get a heavy-duty, hinged-type staple remover with leverage.)
