Both Windows XP and Linux recognized device.

Drivers on CD for windows were needed to be loaded.

Ubuntu automatically found drivers and loaded them. Drivers are activated when adapter is inserted.

Can't ask for more than that.

Setup was easy, connection speed (to network on startup)okay but ability to pull in signal is poor to average.

Router on counter in kitchen, PC using product is accross the room and at the top of the stairs (open stairway)and only pulls in a fair signal strength. Also using Linksys Wireless Router.

Only thing I didn't like was that you have to install Linksys software to use the USB drive. My other USB adaptors didn't need software to run...XP should automatically detect and install the USB adaptor. No problems with connectivity, however.
