Five carefully placed, soft rubber ridges elegantly and delicately grip
the lower edge of my bedroom door. Nestled comfortably on the carpet
below, wide rubber flanges protect my floor covering as this device
silently, diligently, holds the door in precisely the position I have sought it to remain in, thus cleverly protecting myself and my family from the horrors of stubbed toes or, even worse, a late-night, wind-driven slam. Night and day, this simple item serves us in silence, never showing a sign of wear, fatigue, or restlessness.

"My, what a lovely addition to your home!" our visitors inevitably comment, as their eyes are inexorably drawn to this delightful purchase. "Where did you find it? Is it imported?" My spouse and I smile at each other, and...

It's a DOOR STOP. It works. Best of all, the dog hasn't eaten it yet.
