The system is overall good for a small business. It has plenty features, and good quality. The problem for us is, when you use the cordless handsets, you have to yell to be understood. Patients complain that they have a hard time understanding us. This becomes a delicate issue in a Physician's office, since you can't yell personal info throughout the office.

If someone hangs up during the voicemail message, the phone stays connected. So it beeps like the phone was off the hook and ties up the line. To fix this, we had to change the CDC setting, which in turn, cuts off the last three seconds of every message left on the machine. The last three seconds are usually the last 2-3 numbers in a phone number...important information.

We wanted a phone system with mailboxes plus all the features on this phone, but did not really want the auto attendant. we don't like that the base cannot have a mailbox - only general delivery. plus we were told it could work with FAX machine, but if it does, we haven't figured it out. Many calls to Panasonic on several issues. I agree i wish it was easier and that there was someone who could easily explain the features. It has some great features, but it is not easy to learn and sure seems more complicated than necessary.

I bought this phone for my small office and everyone has loved it! I wouldn't choose a different phone if I had a choice too!

This is our primary phone system and is very useful for small businesses that do not need lots of extras. It does take a while to get used to and there is several steps for set up. The only con is that incoming calls cannot be sent directly to individual voicemail. the base user has to listen to the general mailbox and then send to the individual mailboxes. The intercom/transfer feature works very well. Have received many favorable remarks on the hold music. Is very durable, the base unit was knocked off a desk and a shelf fell on it and it still works fine.
