I am the manager of the editing department and we use these rulers all the time when working with Indexes and other projects we need to edit. The highlight in the middle of the ruler helps your eye go across the page so you are accurate.

I started with one and it got "borrowed," so I keep buying more!

I bought this ruler to use when entering line items into my computer. I love the fact that it is clear so i can see what is coming up next and also the highlighting strip in the center. i have since bought 6 more because my coworkers keep borrowing it so i bought them all their own. (i have the 9" which is perfect cause it doesnt take up my entire desk just covers the width of the paper)
