Comments about Staples BookLift Copy and Book Holder:

I AM A PROFESSOR. THIS SEMESTER I HAVE 185 STUDENTS. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF READING SEVERAL 5 - 15 PAGE PAPERS FROM EACH OF THEM. LAST WEEK I WENT TO THE CHIROPRACTORS TWO TIMES BECAUSE OF A STIFF NECK. I BOUGHT TWO (ONE FOR HOME AND ONE FOR MY OFFICE) TO USE WHILE READING. I HAVE FAR LESS NECK PAIN.

Comments about Staples BookLift Copy and Book Holder:

Have purchased four of these book holders and Very Happy with them. I use one for studying on-line courses (great for standing up 2" medical college textbooks!) and my 7th gr. and 10th gr. children love their book holders too. (Have an extra for 4th computer workspace.) Although a bookholder seems insignificant, the design, color, and pageholder makes studying sooo, much easier, especially while taking notes on the computer. Previously, I/we had used the standard metal bookstands which tore my thin, college textbook pages. Also these bookstands would often collapse due to the weight of the books. Since I discovered these bookholders, studying is a much more pleasurable experience, especially when burning the midnight oil.Bottomline, I would Highly recommend this bookholder. FYI, it's not available at other stores ([...], etc.), so look for it in Staples, computer accessory dept.

Don't judge a book holder by it's cover

Comments about Staples BookLift Copy and Book Holder:

I looked far and wide for a wood or metal book holder and never found what I had in mind. I resorted to the Staples' plastic holder out of frustration. I couldn't be more satisfied. It is sturdy enough for larger books, and folds down flat for easy storage when not in use. What's more, you can't beat the price.

too flimsy
By Nikky the Grad StudentVerified Buyer from Philly, PA on 10/27/2009
Pros:
Improves Organization
Cons:
Breaks Easily, Flimsy
Best Uses:
School
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Staples BookLift Copy and Book Holder:

Purpose is supposed to be holding open a book. As a grad student, constantly copying sections of text can be hassle: this "booklift" holds the book upright, but doesn't keep the pages from turning! The clips designed to do this broke on the very first day, and not under duress. I have to use an oversized paperclip to hold the pages in place now! Overpriced for the quailty.

BookLift needs Lift
By futbol loverVerified Buyer from bellflower, Ca on 9/30/2009
Pros:
Sleek Design
Cons:
Doesn't upright enough, Flimsy, Not wide enough
Best Uses:
Everyday Use, Organization, School
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Staples BookLift Copy and Book Holder:

The book holder is convenient and works for lighter or smaller books. A heavy, thick, hard-back does not sit as well on it. Also, it needs to tilt up one or two more notches. The highest tilt causes glare on the text.
