Our facility puts together back to school backpacks to be raffled off at the beginning of each school year. Staples products are an essential part of each backpack.

Works for most; difficult to write in

I typically have difficulties writing at the very bottom of the page anyway, but this was more difficult than most. It is also very difficult to write anywhere close to the binding. I am not familiar with other composition notebooks, though, so this may be normal. There is zero perforation on any pages, so to tear out any page, you literally have to tear it out at random, risking damaging the structure of the books. I believe that all pages are intended to remain intact.

The Staples brand product's pages fall out (4-1/2 X 3-1/4)! The bind falls apart which I can tape, but the pages fall apart. When Staples distributed Inspira brand, those pages stayed in. Caliber brand, Square Deal brand, Staples brand fall apart! Please distribute Inspira brand again - made in Indonesia as the glue holds.

I mainly use this type of notebook for school. These notebooks are great for writing journals or diaries and also great for writing up lab reports for your science classes. They are also less bulkier than normal spiral-ringed notebooks so if you need a lot of notebooks for different classes, I recommend going with these notebooks. They are also great for taking notes and researching projects!

  No, they are stapled long sheets. The fold in the middle of the book at the staple makes tearing them out fairly easy, but then the other side comes out as well.
