This stand is great for re-typing or transcribing notes because standing the copy upright makes it easier to read while sitting at the keyboard. The clip at the top and the sliding transparent arm hold paper(s) flat and steady so the typist can see the whole page clearly. I wish the bottom lip had a slight notch or angled up more acutely to keep pages from sliding while you adjust the arm, but it's a minor problem.

Since my job requires me to enter lists of information into our system on a regualr basis, the stand keeps my place for me when I take a call or someone comes in with question. It keeps the information visible, and when I'm done flods up compactly to fit in the drawer.
