The magnifier has to be held exactly parallel to the page and at a limited distance from the page to avoid distortion of the print. While it's light and non-breakable, it sometimes requires two hands to keep it straight and level, and with one hand it can't be easily used to read a newspaper.

vision impacted by diabetes so needed magnifying glass to read small print business financial reports. Just didn't do the job. Very disappointed in this product.
