I use these at work and at home. I like them because the rubber-coated tips aren't slippery. They don't rust, either, so they are great for tubes of toothpaste or hand lotion. I can't tell you how often I've repurchased. Family and colleagues are always 'borrowing' them because they are truly a 'better mousetrap.'

I can grip the little handles and actually hold on to them as I pinch them to open the clamp. Sometimes with the regular version of this clip, the tension is so tight that your fingers slip right off the handles and the clamp becomes a flying missile. But the soft grip prevents that, and the whole operation seems smoother. This is especially helpful if you have arthritis or other hand/strength issues.
