I wrote a review in August and said that I was considering buying more of these after experimenting with stacking the ones I already had. The experiment went well, and I bought ten more recently and love them. There was a problem with one, the 2nd shelf wouldn't fold down, but I returned it to the store and got a replacement. I'm even considering buying two more; then I'll be out of wall space! My only warning: the ones I bought in November 2008 and the ones I bought in September/October 2009 do not stack with one another. The grooves for the dowels (is that what they're called?) do not line up. (To be clear, the November 2008 ones stack with one another and the new ones do, but I can't mix the two.) I had planned to buy nine but had to buy ten to have five new tall bookcases (stacked), so I'll always have a loner that can't be stacked.

I bought this exact bookcase a couple of years ago. It has held up great and I purposely set out to find a match. Luckily, Staples still carried it. It is very sturdy... mine is full loaded with heavy text books. And, it fold flat for storage.

Made a wall unit by stacking six book cases together in units of two. Excellent for storage, book shelves, organizing . Looked very nice when put together. Practical solution for efficient use of very small area.

We have a library of these in our living room and stack them also. When stacked, it is best to brace to the wall. They are attractive and are able to hold any books that we have put on. They are easy to move as they fold up.

As a teacher I have collected many books. This is the only bookcase that I will buy when I need a new one. I now have purchased over 12 of these and use them for everything from books to kitchen items and in both my home and school office. The only assembly required is if you want to stack them. If so pegs are provided to do so, as well as screws to anchor them to the walls. The bookcases are solid wood and durable, easy to move (they fold flat) and also quite handsome. I've had many compliments on them.
