I bought one a couple of years ago and put it in my son's room. He's growing, so are his books and toys. Just bought another one, and had no trouble to stack it on top of the old one.

The stackable option is wonderful. I stacked one on top of the other using the pegs enclosed and secured it to the wall per the instructions. Easy for one person to handle.

I use this bookshelf behind my desk. Until our new building is complete, I share an office with 6 other people. My little corner of the world is very small with limited space. This bookshelf fit perfectly behind my desk and I use it for everything from my small radio to my telephone and binders. I only wish I would have bought the dark one instead of the light one, it would have fit in with the furniture better.

I wrote a review in August and said that I was considering buying more of these after experimenting with stacking the ones I already had. The experiment went well, and I bought ten more recently and love them. There was a problem with one, the 2nd shelf wouldn't fold down, but I returned it to the store and got a replacement. I'm even considering buying two more; then I'll be out of wall space! My only warning: the ones I bought in November 2008 and the ones I bought in September/October 2009 do not stack with one another. The grooves for the dowels (is that what they're called?) do not line up. (To be clear, the November 2008 ones stack with one another and the new ones do, but I can't mix the two.) I had planned to buy nine but had to buy ten to have five new tall bookcases (stacked), so I'll always have a loner that can't be stacked.
