We needed a shelf to hold manuals in 3 inch binders and did not need to spend much money so this works for that. If it were purchased for a business area viewed by customers I would want to invest in a higher end product but this works for a hidden spot. It was more difficult to assemble than it should have been for small bookshelf. It will serve the purpose.

The construction on this bookcase is really flimsy. There was a chip on the top shelf but I just kept it to avoid the hassle of returning it.

Nasty heavy! ... but, stylish, and in white (and, in a white room), these are architectural as well as well as functional. I have three of this size and two 72"-tall bookcases, 'walling' off a huge room into two smaller rooms and frankly, it's BEAUTIFUL.

The ONLY drawback is the weight; you'll need two people to stand the unit(s) upright, once assembled. Assembly is easy.
