I have no idea how well the bookshelf works. What started out as a relatively simple afternoon project turned into a disaster.Before I even finished assembling it, one of the plastic cams snapped, splintering the shelf and knocking down the other shelves splintering them as well.
I called the toll free number and was told that the company didn't use metal cams because they wanted to make the product as cheaply as they could. I told her they had succeeded.
As for now, I await the arrival of new shelves and more cams. Frankly I'm worried that the whole thing will end up in the trash.

The price was right, but my husband added extra support under the lower back shelf.

I've filled 4 of these bookcases w/ all sizes & wts of books. Looks great & holding up just fine!

I like this book shelve because I'm able to display and store some of my kids items. I'm able to display some of my books and the price was very reasonable (I got it on sale). I just had one thing one of the shelves side was a few inches of that the other side and it leans to the side. we have to put it on one side of the wall so it doesn't look that bad. But it holds all of our books and kids items. It does the work for storage and display. Not bad for its' price.
