My first disappointment from Swingline

I've been a Swingline fan for over 25 years--except for THIS stapler. I've used many heavy duty staplers without a hitch--except for THIS stapler. When it does staple, which is exceptionally rare, it spits out 4-6 staples at once...keeping you busy trying to remove the extras from your papers--or jams the staples up into the machine and you have to dig them out (at least you can open the mechanism to get them out which is a good thing since you spend so much time doing that!)
I've tried several sizes of staples based on what I was stapling--so that excuse won't work.
A total disappointment from Swingline.

We used this stapler for years in our shop to staple heavy duty vinyl samples together. It held up to a lot of abuse but finally gave up the ghost. Stapler still works, base broke! So we purchased another one and are hoping for additional years of use & abuse.

My college bought this for one of our computer labs. I heard it was horrible from other students. That it would jam all your PowerPoint printouts! I guess you really have to learn to use it because before I stepped up to use it, I had an employee run over and said that they have experience with it and that it is very difficult to use and it'd be better if they did it for me. It's unfortunate that for such a price, it's a bad product. It's not a business that was ripped off, it was a school.
