I didn't know how this was going to be since I was accustomed to automatic backup through an online service. This was so easy to set up and finding files was just like looking on my desktop, so I am not worried about ever having to restore them -- I am going to be able to find them.

I bought the Seagate Free Agent to use as a daily back-up for only specific files but saw that a default was to back up my entire C drive which is far from being full.

I've had other backup devices that were more difficult to set up and use and, in one case, was unable to restore when I had a hard drive failure because some of the settings were on the drive that failed.

I haven't had occassion to use the Seagate as a transfer device but having explored the drive I am able to identify every file that I consider really critical so feel that I could just copy files to a new hard drive.

Only available in black
Got a free docking station (don't like the hookup from the free docking station to the computer, requires two USB ports compared to one USB port without the docking station)
Bought 3, 2 for the wife and 1 for me
