      This pcAmerica Retail system can access the Internet, but only for the purpose of downloading updates. It does not have a web browser installed.

    Will these systems work in a server based environment? If I have 15 different locations that are all on a server network and I install one of these at each location, will they all communicate with each other as far as total sales and for inventory tracking?

      As per the manufacture pcAmerica: this system is a client server biased program, and as long as the systems are hardwired they will connect to the server and communicate, the web portal connects store to store.

      15" Elo touchscreen - Elo 1515L
      Metrologic barcode scanner - Honeywell fusion 3780 usb barcode scanner
      Epson receipt printer - an Epson TMT 88V usb
      keyboard - I apologize for this was not available from the manufacture, for additional technical support I can advise you to please call PCAmerica at phone nuber 845 920 0800.

    Can I add my products to the touch screen so employees can just touch it for the sale? Is a Wasp BarcodeMaker compatible with this system?

      Yes you are able to ring up products using the touch screen via the PLS look up. Wasp products should be compatible with this product, however no support can be provided should you experience any issues with this product. When printing barcodes, pcAmerica recommends using Zebra barcode printer. To place an order for this item, please contact us at 1-800-333-3330.

      The pcAmerica Retail POS system does not come with Quickbooks software; however, it will work with the Quickbooks software. The system does have inventory management.

  • Q:

    Can this system be accessed off a pc in the office to do financials, pricing, programing, and inventory related work, then send the work to the registers pc's? Also I currently am with another web based credit card processor Mercury Pay. Can the same processor run on this system?

      The FAQ show Mercury Payment, so it should work. You should be able to setup the software, so that you can have a computer in the office for pricing, inventory. Normally you have to export your data for to another Financial/Accounting program like QuickBook Financial programs that manage your finance end. Hope this helps.

      Price changes can be done but you would need an additional license of the software. If mercury pay works with pc charge payment server than it would work with our system.

      In the faq on pcAmerica site it says "DO NOT FORGET: PCCharge must be running at all times in order for payment processing to occur." So being they reference that you have to have it actively run also, if it helps it url is http://faq.pcamerica.com/paymentprocessing/pccharge, then click PCCharge Setup and it explains in better detail, hope this helps!
