The idea of the clicker to bring down the lead is a good one, but the mechanism breaks too easily and then the pencil is no good. For $7 and change, this is a terrible product!! It only lasts a month or two. Don't buy it!

I was looking for an automatic lead pencil where the lead didn't break everytime you tried to write. This one is nice and firm and strong and the lead does not break under normal pressure. I sent it to our grandson in Germany and he loves it for school. I like the way you advance the lead by squeezing the barrel. It seems to hold a lot of lead and lasts a good while. It is very comfortable to hold and of good quality. Plus the price is good for the quality. It writes fairly smoothly and I would recommend this to a friend.
