I'm a college professor and have used many 3-ring binders over the years. These are the best I have encountered. I selected them because they felt sturdy and durable, but only time will confirm this. The fact they were also good looking (distinctive) was a plus. The rings open easily and close securely without gaps. The binders lay flat when fully opened. The rings are D shaped so the content also lays flat. The binders are easy to label and the system used makes it easy to change labels in the future. No more need to apply self adhesive labels on top of each other, or remove them several years later leaving a sticky mess. The front cover allow a face sheet to be inserted so you can apply own cover design, or insert a table of contents. The cost of the binders is high, but I believe they are well worth it if you expect the content to be frequently used (like class notes or research materials) over a period of years.

I purchased one for my son only because it was the only Red binder in the store and he had to have a Red binder for Math - per the teachers. It is the end of October and it is already ripped, and I am out [$] dollars for a binder. WHY ARE BINDERS SO EXPENSIVE ANYWAY????

    So far, this is an excellent product; it is roomy, easy to use and durable. I like the color selections and have chosen for this purchase, white. The color selection fits my organizational plan as it will designate the types of documents that will be filed into the binder. I love the reinforced rubber spine construction as it should wear well over time with continued use. It has a nice professional look and feel and can be wiped clean if it becomes dirty. However, it is a bit pricey!

      I used this for my educational report to my organization, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a non profit group. They have been around since 1929, and I was Michigan's educational director. Besides having educational events, they have socials and raise money for charity. This binder was nice, in that I didn't have to make a covering. I could slip a title page, right into the binder. Also, the advertising labels were easy to remove, even on the side. I could make my binder look neat and appropriate without too much effort.

          This is my favorite brand of binder, won't buy any other brand. Other brands have a flat spine and the seams tend to tear over time. Plus with the flat spine, the pages don't lie flat. The Staples binder has a slight curve to the spine which allows your paperwork to lay flat. Also I love the ease of the opening the rings. One push of the little lever and the rings open. As far as I am concerned, this is the best binder on the market.
