Greatest invention since binder clips!

1. I use these tabs constantly to identify files that I just have all over the place but am not ready to file permanently.
2. Also some projects are temporary so these tabs help organize the papers in folders for those temporary projects.
3. They're easily accessible so you can just clip one to a folder until you have time to file the folders/papers away.
4. If you're not a good filer or paper storer, this is a great way of at least clipping papers or labeling folders so you can identify the big bulk of papers around you.

Unusual way to mark pages

This is an excellent way to mark pages for review later. I had trouble with stickies coming off or sticking to other pages but these clever clips worked very well.

These are great! I have colored file folders in the drawer which is supposed to help find things faster. With these tabs I can find what I need so much quicker. I use pencil so that I can use these repeatedly for so many uses. I wish I had known about these years ago. They are also great in binders for the frequently used reference points, as bookmarks in my datebook. I definately love these and would recommend them to others. However if you prefer your post it notes, you may not love these like I do. I think this is one of the best products I have purchased for the office in years.

This is a simple item which has made workflow more efficient in our 400-client tax preparation office.

A yellow tab on the client's folder means that the documents have been scanned. A red tab means that the data has been entered into the tax program, and that the file is ready for review and approval by our Enrolled Agent.

These tabs make it easy for us to process files in the most efficient way...which can vary from day to day. Client data can be entered first, then scanned, or vice versa. A large batch of client files can be divided so that I can scan Batch A while Batch B is being entered by someone else. Then we swap.

If I'm backed up with scanning, client files can be entered as soon as they come into the office. But if data entry is backed up, I can go ahead with the scanning.

The Enrolled Agent can review & approve a file any time after the data has been entered, then pass it to me for scanning.

In short, no one in our office is ever waiting for someone else to finish something.

So how do we keep track of what's been done? Just glance at the rack of client files. Yellow tab = Scanned. Red tab = Entered. Couldn't be simpler.

Previously, we tried marking the client files with sticky notes, but these tabs work much better.

We do have to take care that pulling one file folder out of the rack doesn't accidentally pull the tab off of another folder. The clips can indeed catch on something, as other reviewers have noted. It's best if we clip the tab to the documents inside the file folder, not to the folder itself. The tab is still easily visible.

I found that the best way to use this product was to put enough papers on both sides of the "paper"clip (so the clip would stay in place). Unfortunately, I haven't always had enough papers on both sides of the clip to keep it from coming loose & falling out. I look forward to whatever tweaking they may do to this product. In the meantime, I'll try alternate ways of working with them!
