In the past I have used both the canon toner replacement and the staples brand toner replacement. Both of them worked equally well. I ordered the "staples brand replacement toner" and I received this. From the minute I put it in my copier I have not gotten consistently sharp copies. The copies look like they do when I'm running out of toner. I use my copier for black and white artwork and the copier has always given me fabulous crystal clear results. With this toner things are looking lousy. I have to turn up the darkening up on the machine to get clear images, and that is not 100% helping as then it also gets over dark and I get stray marks.

I hope this is just a problem with this one cartridge because if not I have to find a new place to buy toner.

      Was getting streaks on copies. Called Canon rep who warned me @using these. Toner was all over inside of machine. Staples did make good and refunded my money but damage is done. It cost me the cleaning sheets price and the research time. Do NOT use in Cannon copiers.

        lasts about 3/4 as long as the Canon cartridge, but the price is about 1/4 less too. Doesn't respond well to shaking to redistribute ink; so when it goes, it goes quickly.

            This toner started making an awful grinding noise within a day of using it. I contacted Staples, and the rep was very helpful, emailed me a return mailing label & is supposed to be sending a replacement. Hopefully the replacement will work out better!

              Makes a scracthy noise when copying. Old cartridge was same brand and I can put it back in and the noise is gone ..so don't think it is my copier but the cartridge.

                On 5/24/10I opened a new Sustainable Earth cratridge purchased on 10/23/09. I turned it, rotated it, installed it. It prints like it is ready to be replaced. (pale center line that can't be darkened)
