would recommend for use with ipad for kids

It works - not on par with the iPad Smart keyboard
This is the only Apple "approved" keyboard to connect with a three year old iPad (9.7") . My Apple smart keyboard quit connecting on month 10; Apple replaced it; then 14 months later the replacement keyboard quit. Apple no longer makes a keyboard that fits the iPad. Built in REDUNDANCY! The Belkin works with the lightning plug - but it is larger and clumsy. You need ...
