You can add coupons to your shopping cart at any time. Here's how:
Step 1: Click on your cart in the top right-hand corner
Step 2: Click the "Add/Edit Coupons" button at the bottom of the page
Step 3: Enter your coupon code and click "Add Coupon"
Step 4: Click "Back to My Order" to return to your cart
Staples.com reserves the right to reject orders that use a coupon code that was obtained from a bulletin board or other Web site. Staples.com also reserves the right to reject orders that use a coupon code that was transferred from a direct mail recipient or that are in violation of any coupon restriction listed above.
Unless a coupon specifically applies to a particular item, its value may be proportionally distributed to all items purchased. You still get the same value off, whether it’s a percentage or a specific dollar amount, but it’s applied appropriately to all the items in your order.
No, it’s not. As long as you contact our customer service team within two days of placing your order, we can apply the discount to your order. However, if yours is a Staples Rewards® coupon, we can only apply it at the time of your order and cannot do so later.
If you normally use Purchase Orders to pay for your office supplies, you must set up a revolving credit account with us. Fill out an application here. You may also use a major credit card — MasterCard, American Express, Visa or Discover — to pay for your order. Purchase Order numbers can be entered at the Payment Information screen when you place your order or on the Review Order page. Please note that the Purchase Order number is for your records only. It will be referenced on your packing slip to make your record keeping easier.
You’re more than welcome to make personal purchases at staples.com®, but to receive the benefits of being a Staples Advantage customer, you should make purchases via your usual ordering platform. Yes, you can link your Staples customer numbers together by simply calling 800-333-3330. We recommend that you choose one customer number and use it going forward for all communications with Staples, including Web site and phone orders.
Yes, you can. From the product page, click on the "Reserve & Pick Up" button. (Note: Not every item sold in Staples® stores and on staples.com® is available to reserve online for in-store pickup.) If you’re not already logged in to staples.com, enter your zip code to find the nearest store where the item is available for reservation. Using the drop-down menu, select the quantity you wish to reserve next to the store you wish to reserve it at, and then click Reserve. (If an item is unavailable or stock is low, it will be marked as such and you will not be able to reserve. Stock levels vary by store.) Enter your first and last name, email address and phone number, and then click Submit.
When you submit a reservation request, your reservation will be sent to the store you selected. After a store associate has located your item(s), you will receive an email letting you know when your item(s) is ready to be picked up. (Reserved items will be available for pickup within two hours of the store receiving your reservation request. If the reservation is submitted within two hours of the store’s closing time, your items will be available within two hours of the store’s opening time on the next day.)
At the store, to pick up and pay for your item, go to the customer service desk area and see an associate. Please be sure to have the following with you:
Items reserved before 2 pm local time will be held until the end of the next day. Items reserved after 2 pm local time will be held until the end of the following (third) day. Store hours may vary. Check our store locator for your store's hours of operation
Note: Tax is not included in the quoted price online. Staples Rewards®, easy rebates, mail-in rebates and "get" items that are part of "buy/get offers" are not reflected in the quoted price since they may not be valid at the time of pickup due to offer expiration dates. Additional coupons must be presented and surrendered at the time of purchase. If the in-store price at the time of pickup is different from that stated on your Ready for Pickup email, we will gladly honor the lower of the two. In-store quantity limits apply. We are not responsible for printing or typographical errors.
Where Staples has a business "presence,” we are required to collect sales tax. As obligated, Staples charges sales tax on orders for taxable items in accordance with state and local tax laws.

The amount of sales tax charged depends on several factors, including the item purchased, the destination of the order and, where applicable, the location from which your order is shipped. During the checkout process, the order confirmation and packing slip will reflect the estimated sales tax. Please be advised that the estimated sales tax may differ from the final amount charged for your order.
If you’ve sent our Tax-Exempt team a copy of your tax certificate and received a tax-exempt number, then tax will be waived automatically at checkout.
If you are a new tax-exempt customer, please fax your tax certificate to Staples at 888-823-8503. Include your telephone number and order number, if applicable. Your order will be taxed, but a refund will be generated as soon as we've received approval from our tax department.
If you are a tax-exempt organization and do not have a Staples Tax-Exempt Customer Number, please follow these steps:

Step 2: On a cover sheet, please include your telephone number and order number if applicable. Please do not write on your tax certificate.
