Our 2009 Calendar
We are making the necessary decision to limit our participation in events and organizations in order to align with Staples’ cost structures in the current economic environment. This decision in no way diminishes our commitment to supplier diversity, but rather we have chosen to leverage our national memberships in the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to support and allocate points to its regional and local affiliates.
Consequently, we will only participate in selected national events this year.
In 2009, Staples Inc. will participate in the following supplier diversity events:
- WBENC Awards Banquet/National Conference, National Harbor, MD, March 25 - 26
- Women’s Business Development Conference, San Francisco, CA, June 9 - 11
- NMSDC Business Development Conference, New Orleans, LA, October 25 - 28
In addition to participation in nation events, Staples will host its annual Diversity Supplier Summit for the growth and development of its vendors.
