Here's what happens after you turn it in: The hard drive is completely erased using a U.S. Department of Defense 3-pass wipe program, the hard drive is inspected using forensic software tools that verify no data remains, technicians refurbish and rebuild the computer for resale. Computers that cannot be refurbished are recycled as part of our technology recycling program.

For Registered Purchasers Only: We agree to reimburse You the full original purchase price of this Computer Plan via a Staples^® Cash Card if all of the following conditions are satisfied: (i) You are the registered purchaser of the Plan; (ii) the term of the Plan has ended; (iii) during the term of the Plan, no repairs, replacements or technical support was provided (or is pending) to You; and (iv) You submit all required documents to Us within 30 calendar days after the term of the Plan has ended. Your Staples Cash Card will be provided within 30 days following receipt of all necessary documentation and the Administrator's verification of such documentation.
