  • Recycling: a series of activities by which discarded materials are collected, sorted, processed, and used in making new products.
  • Pre-consumer: recovered paper consisting of trimmings and scraps from printing and other converting processes, and is reused to make pulp without reaching the end consumer.
  • Post-consumer: recovered paper that has been used by the consumer and is then returned to the mill for recycling.
