Very flimsy
By Edward from Cambridge from Cambridge, MA on 2/5/2008
Pros:
Free (promotional item)
Cons:
Flimsy Construction
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This knife set definitely is not worth paying for. I received it as a free promotional item. The knives and forks are terribly flimsy -- so much so that they actually bend out of shape. I probably won't use them at all -- they don't feel sturdy enough to be safe. Not one of Staples more valuable promotional items. Perhaps useful if you have a youngster who is setting up a summer apartment, or if you have a summer cabin that needs cutlery, but not good for regular kitchen use.

Just terrible
By Weekend CatererVerified Reviewer from Charlottesville, VA on 12/26/2007
Pros:
Dishwasher Safe
Cons:
Blades bend easily, Flimsy Construction, Forks bend like foil, Teeth rip meat, Uncomfortable Grip
Best Uses:
Display purposes only
Describe Yourself:
Avid Cook
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

[...] they are unquestionably terrible. The forks look neat but they are very weak. The teeth on the steak knives seem to tear rather than cut the meat and the chef's knife bends in the middle thereby making it impossible to slice anything evenly. Such flimsy and weak construction actually causes these knives to feel very unsafe.

Pros:
Can't think of any.
Cons:
Cheap. Cost not justified, Flimsy Construction

The quality of this product is terrible. If you can get these knives sharp they will not maintain their edge. I would not recommend this set to anyone.
