Make sure the delivery person brings the boxes in the house. They are so heavy it takes two to move them! Takes a long time to put together, lots of pieces and hardware! Finished product does not look like you made it!
we use this as a comunication center for our computer and printer. It also is a great space to pay those monthly bills. The cabinet has the storage that I need for receipts and paper work I receive for my work.I guess the only thing I don't like is the light they supply with the cabinet. It does not give enough light for the computer key board ,other than that I love thecabinet.
When we finally finished assembling this, it turned out great; has lots of shelf space for office stuff, a hidden file cabinet (we're not using the computer shelf); decent wire management. Best of all, when the 2 toddlers are around, they can't pull all computer equipment out: THAT's priceless.I'm not scared by do-it-yourself projects; I have assembled Scandinavian furniture, Ikea, etc. I have built computers from parts. But this armoire is the work of a handful of madmen... Some 30-40 types of screws, 3 ways of putting parts together, 37 steps of assembly (each with 6-7 substeps), 7 hours of work later, we finally assembled it. The great thing about Ikea or Scandinavian Designs is that they are 3-4 types of hardware; this has more screw sizes and heads than your local [@] carries; and it's not that they were needed, it's pure engineering stupidity from a design team that did not attend any classes in usability. There, I vented :)It's a great armoire, I won't buy anything Sauder again because of the assembly nightmare.
