Very useful - helpful in our home office that is carpeted. Only problem sometimes is that since I have a heavier chair, it makes impressions and isn't completely a smooth rolling surface. It was a great price compared to some others that I have seen.

I had to replace another chair mat that cracked and got holes in it right where the wheels of my chair sit. I haven't had it long enough to know how well it holds up over time, about discoloring, or cracking.
I also bought one for my son to use in his college apartment since his desk will be on a carpeted floor.

I bought this product for a fairly small work area at a computer work station. I had wanted such a product for a long time, but some were too large or expensive, and I wasn't sure they would fit. This product offered me a chance to get something at a more modest price. I was worried it wouldn't unfold well, but it did. So far so good - no cracks.

I have a problem with the rolling surface where I expected my desk chairs to roll smoothly and they do not. It is very hard to roll the desk chair on the mat surface. The mats do protect the hard wood floor although if the mat is not anchored partially under a desk it will slide & the mat does protect a carpeted floor.
