I bought this for work (put labels on the side to organize). Even though I have a locking office, I didn't use as much as I'd like because I have too much confidential stuff to lock up everynight.
I did buy one for home also because I loved my work one. MY HOME OFFICE organizer gets USED ALL THE TIME-I love it!!!! I combine this with Staples exclusive 10 project folders. Everything is at my fingertips (bills, medical, insurance - I even use the folders to organize my middle schooler by class/period-YEAH!) Mine is stuffed to the brim with papers/organizers (thank goodness 2008 is almost over). It's next to the printer and the homework dining table - high volume use. BIG BUT VERY ORGANIZED/USEFUL!!! Better than those horizontal metal files(donate! donate!!) Now, if only they'd make all the pockets 2 deep (Ha! Ha!) plus 12.25 x 12.25 for us scrapbookers!

It is a bit large and bulky and I think it would be much more attractive if it was available in pretty colors in clear plastic...ex. ruby red, blue, grass green...etc. It is still worth buying though...makes life easier if you are always in a hurry!

I absolutely LOVE The Apprentice. My desk looks so much neater now. And it's easier to find my "piles" of work. The only thing I would suggest as an upgrade to the product is to have a place to label each side so you know what projects are where. For example, I labeled each side of my Apprentice with sticky labels as follows: Current Projects, Reading, Misc. I don't have anything for the 4th side - still working on that. It's a cool tool!!

I keep this on my desk at school. It is easy to retrieve files and supplies that I use daily. I used a label maker to mark each side for the intended use which makes refilling easy too. Because it is so easy to use I tend to put files in it too much!! So once a week I sort through it to avoid a heavy organizer. I love it and would not be without it!!

It is larger than I expected. It fits where I wanted it to go but it spins and when it spins it takes up more room and things are either in the way so it won't spin or it knocks things off the desk. You need to add several inches on every side to the stated dimensions to make sure it will fit where you need it.

It does hold a lot of different things making it easier to find them. I like the different pen/pencil holders, it makes it easier to grab just the type I need at the moment.

Love this item ! I use it for scrapbooking. The center section holds tons of 12x12 paper. The large outer sections are great for 8.5x11 paper,large sticker sheets, the current scrap magazines,journaling books and pads. There are plenty of cups for pens, markers and pencils, tape dispenser. It's great. A great price for a great item. Only suggestion...they need to make it in white also.

This is the 2nd one I've gotten -- when I left my last job, my 1st got left behind and I just HAD to have a new one. One design suggestion for the next generation: Make at least 2 of the outside "pockets" accommodate folders in the normal landscape orientation (all 4 are designed to hold things "portrait" -- great for pads of paper, magazines, etc., but not great for folders as you can't see tabs). Besides, I don't think most people need all 4 pencil cups.

I purchased the first one from my classroom. It is a wonderful way to organize all my papers. When a sub comes into my room they can quickly find everything they need. I since purchased an additional unit to use at home. Get gift idea for anyone that has an office job or a busy home life.

I am a homeschooling mother of 7 but I teach 4. I put together lessons for each of my kids and use seperate notebooks and folders to store their work. With this I am able to put all of their notebooks and folders of lesson plans near my pc for easy retrieval both when I need to teach them and when I need to grade their papers. I also store all of their needed supplies such as pens, pencils, markers ect. and they are within easy reach. This eliminates the need for me to carry around a bag with supplies or a pen/pencil case. Plus, when someone says they need an item I have it at my fingertips.

I have used my organizer since it first appeared on the market and find it indispensable. I gave one to my son and he uses his for his business. Items are easily identified and quickly retrieved. I just got an e-mail response from my daughter and at the top of her Christmas list was the organizer! I'm on this site to order my third.

Just make sure that you look at the Design Measurements, 11"H X 16"W X 16"D!! It is Bigger than it looks on the Web Site or in the Catalog. But if you have the room it is a very nice Unit for the Price and well worth buying.

When I am working on my computer I can easily turn my dining room into an office. The organizer is easily movable. I put it on the center of my table for quick access to my supplies. I'm able to rotate it so I can utilize all of the storage areas. It is a large and bulky object so we aren't able to leave it on the table all of the time but it isn't large enough that we can't just lift it and set it somewhere else. So for me this organizer has done everything it was supposed to do.
