This is the second SentrySafe H4300 I have bought. It is good in design, convenient size. However, the first one had a broken hinge out of the box and very hard to open. The second one cannot be opened at all even if I sit on it (they say you need to push down hard to open it). If you decide to buy this model, I suggest that you try several of them and pick up the good and easy one. I would recommend this to a friend, but I will tell him/her the full story.
after constant opening and closing the lid - the rods broke off
Happy about the design of this product.
Nice to store things in
Storing Docmunets.

The only complaint I have is it should come with holders because the regular holders you buy don't fit right. You have to trim the sides off about 1/2 " or make the inside a little bite bigger so it does't bind the folders.
Been meaning to buy a small safe like this to replace one that is too small. This one is perfect for my needs and relatively inexpensive to boot.

I purchased the Sentry Fire-Water safe for my Real Estate Brokerage. It fit the need to store documents that are important, but not viewed often.

Bought for H.S. grad so they can keep important materials safe and organized. Pro and Con is it takes 2 hands to open because of a waterproof seal. One hand pushes down on lid and other quickly lifts to open. A friend stored her fire resistant file in basement and when it flooded contents were all wet. With this design contents should stay safe and dry.

Good size accommodates files better than previous smaller model I now use for envelope size items. Like the waterproof feature, since much damage is from that source.

Very spacious...can fit a lot of stuff in this safe...good investment alternative to renting a safety deposit box at the bank.

I thought this would be too small and easy to steal. Its easily bolted to a stud and secure, holds a lot, plus its easily hidden.

I like it except it is difficult to open.
It is use to put things that can't not be replaced

The safe was easy to operate in the beginning. After a while the locking mechanism would not unlock.

I needed to store some staff records in the office but this product kept locking to a point that key would not work...

I BOUGHT THIS SAFE THINKING THAT IT WOULD PROVIDE THE QUALITY I AM USED TO GETTING FROM SENTRY, BUT I HAVE HAD THE TOP COME OFF OF TWO OF THEM NOW! THE TOP IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE BASE. IT ONLY HAS TWO PLASTIC NUBS TO HOLD IT IN PLACE. IF YOU USE YOUR SAFE MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.[...]

Works great for filing things out of the way and offers protection from fire/water damage

I was attracted by the general form, function, design and low price of the safe, but the manufacturing quality of mine is very poor. It appears that the plastic walls of the safe were overfilled and over expanded by the fireproof filler so that the interior is not wide enough to accomodate a regular file folder. Check for this before you buy one.
