Always use name brand inks, and steer clear of "refills" or unknown generic brands. The colors are brighter and truer with name brands, and the life of the ink is longer. In the long run, it's cheaper to pay more for the ink because you get more use from a cartridge. The cheaper refills, and unknown brands seem to have an odd, or off color, and they don't last nearly as long as the brand name.

The overall quality of the ink is awesome...never smears, is always dry when it comes out, and holds to photo paper well.
The only issue I have is that the cartridges definately do not last 210/175 pages. Most I have ever gotten are approximately 150/120 (usually lower). But, each cartridge is cheaper than any other I've ever bought, so I'd say it makes up for it.
