I prefer "fine" ink instead of medium. Medium looks too heavy and even feels heavy to me when I am writing. I'm a nurse and document all day long. This ink is my favorite. I buy retractable pens (easy touch by pilot) that are only available in medium ink, and discard their ink and use these replacements. My only complaint is that often these refills are not available.

I use several of the discontinued Staedtler Remedy brand pens (fat grip similar to the Rx pen) and I've been looking for refills that fit it. I carry the pen with me at all times and these refills are an exact match for the factory ink. They write smoothly without skipping.
