I love this desk. It's really beautiful. It took my husband about 3 hours to put it together by himself while I watched and cheered him on. The desk arrived in perfect condition, no chips or scratches. The drawer works fine. No trouble with that as other people mentioned they do have problems. We assembled the desk on a sheet as I have hardwood floors to avoid the desk from getting scratched up. So I recommend that you put it on something soft when you start to assemble it. I also love the color, cherry finish. I did a lot of internet shopping and Staples prices couldn't be beaten. This same desk sold for a few hundred dollars more on other sites. [...]

We bought this desk over a year ago for our home office. It is a very well put together desk. It did take a long time to put together, but it looks great when it's done. Door hinges and drawer sliders are great. I would like to buy the hutch for more storage space. It doesn't have enough without it. Other than that the CPU cabinet does not have enough ventilation, so we have to keep the door open so that our computer doesn't overheat.

Great for the price!

Only problem is that when attaching the hutch, screw holes didn't quite match up causing the wood to split. (I've hidden the flaw behind a tissue box)
Otherwise - great.

I actually purchased the Hansen Cherry first, but had to change to Mocha Cherry. Hansen Cherry has too much reddish tone to it. My wife and I are pleased with the Mocha Cherry color, it looks rich. [...]. A few pieces had some minor scratches but new parts were sent out immediately. We put the desk in our master bedroom, fits well in the corner. Overall, no complaints. It took approx 4 hrs to install.

I went through every ones reviews before buying this product. [...] Although i thought it will be very difficult to assemble but it was a breeze. Instructions were really good. Took me 3 hrs. Make sure you have a drill when u assemble this and don't be too nasty with it. Keep it slow while assembling so you don't chip of anything. Drawers and keyboard fit in great. Make sure you buy [$] wide sliders to move it around. I have one permanently under the L corner. Do not try to slide assembled table without the sliders, it will break the corner leg. Its kind of fragile material. Overall great buy and i would recommend it to everyone.

Describe Yourself:

Primary use:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

If It was'nt bulky and heavy, I would have returned it
For the quality, I would say it worth aroud $150, easily chips and cracks, heavy, require 2-3 normal people to move it.

time consuming assembly, ordinary look and feel desk with sharp corners.

To start, they missed whole set of screws and fasteners, Bush CS, gladly shipped everything, then put 2 identical pieces (2 Hs) instead of 1 G and 1 H. and so on. Bush CS is very good and helping.

If you are buying this,my advice would be, go and see it at shop first, then make sure to open the box and count every screws and parts, and make sure the numbers mathces

I bought this after comparing similiar products in other office stores...This one seems to be a good fit for a basement or corner office.. Buy with the Hutch ...There is no wire hole for your speakers or keyboard..Looks like a expensive office furniture, but very hard to put it together (need two people ).. Not a bad deal for the price...If you are really looking for sturdy construction go far something more solid in design...

This was a good buy. It looks good in the front lobby. However it is limited in how many ways and places it can be arranged due to the L shape. It is difficult to move because of the shape as well.

I got this desk for [$]on sale. I wouldn't pay much more than that for it. The contruction is pretty good. The file cabinet drawer and the cabinit door above it (on the right side) don't quite line up. I have to close the file cabinet first or the cabinet door won't close.Overall I'm pretty happy with the piece.

Executive feel on a secretaries budget.
By Working 5am to 12am (9-5 does not exist)Verified Purchaser from Georgia on 9/28/2007
Pros:

Cons:
Difficult to move, Inferior grade hinges
Best Uses:
Smaller Offices
Describe Yourself:

Primary use:
Business
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is, in total, a very well-built desk; however, when setting it up, the screws were difficult to set completely. Also, the door hinges were next to impossible to attach and after 4 months of usage, they still need to be tightened. The type of hinges are a good choice for this desk, but extremely aggravating because they keep sliding, leaving the doors uneven and always in need of adjustment. Maybe a higher quality of the same hinge would be better.
Other than that, I have had complements on the appearance and size of this desk. Its functionality and practicality are additional benefits to the great price. It is perfect for the home office.

I just graduated to this desk from a desk that was way too small, it's got ample space, looks great and I love the room I now have with it. Building it took a bit of time, but the directions were very thorough and they gave you extra parts just in case.

I purchased this desk, along with the hutch, for my home office. I work remotely 4 day per week, so it gets used quite a bit. Overall, I like the desk. It looks good and is very sturdy. The banister doors, however, are hard to latch open and then unlatch to close. Some of the drawers and doors don't close smoothly either.

For the money, I feel it is a good desk. A few improvements would make it a great desk.

For the discounted price, it looks good and is functional enough for my needs.
There were some scratches in the veneer here and there, but the amount of paper I accumulate covers the entire surface, so scratches don't matter.

This is a great looking desk. Beautiful color and looks very expensive when built. It took about 3 hours to assemble and one drawer does not slide properly. The screws where not labeled so that was a guessing game. Once built, however, it looks great! Overall very happy with the purchase.
