I bought my 14 year old son several of these binders last year and they lasted the entire school year. He would've still used those binders this year if the front sleeve hadn't torn from use over an 9 month period. So, I'm using these now (I just cut the torn sleeve off) and bought him a new one, becuase they get graded on the neatness of their notebook this year.

I like the sturdy flex edges that will stand up to long term regular use and still look good. I hate to pull out a binder with worn, curled up edges. There's also lots of clear pockets to customize (front) and store papers (inside). I use everyday for my planning, contacts, calendar, etc.

This is hands down the best binder I have ever used. It's very durable and I love the d-ring mechanism. Rather than being stiff and clumsy, it's fluid but very secure. There's one button at the bottom of the binding to push to open the rings. With other binders I was always managing to pinch my fingers but have yet to do so with this one. I also like to bend the front cover over so that it takes up less space on my desk which inevitably cracks the hinge in short order. This binder has a rubber hinge which seems to be quite sturdy. Needless to say this is the only brand of binders I will ever purchase!
