As a business consultant, I have varied uses for this. It is perfect for holding lots of files, basic travelling office staples, my laptop, and extra catalogs. I use this nearly every day, and have had no problems whatsoever. Several of my associates have also bought this now. The extra small briefcase that pulls out is really handy for everyday use. I teach classes, use as a mobile office, and love travelling in an airport with this. Best carryon I have ever had.
The people that broke the handles must have misused it, or else the product was fixed in manufacturing, because I cannot imagine this breaking.

I love that I can put my purse over the handle when needed!!

This product was purchased for my mother who teaches high school. She absolutely loves it because she carries several notebooks and folders around, along with her lesson plan book, grade book, and all the necessities. She loves the file folders inside and all the different compartments!

Overall the product is good quality except for the handle which is flimsy at best and doesn't slide to the full extension easily

I use this to carry my digital projector and laptop computer.

I have a bad shoulder from carrying my computor and this bag allows me to hurry through airports without constantly shifting my laptop form shoulder to shoulder.
well constructed and holds two laptops with easy access
I used the product for overnight business trips in USA or Europe. I bought the case about 2 weeks ago. On my first trip, I used the case as a carry-on and "babied" it. When I arrived in Italy the front of the case had a tear in the "leaterette". I am totally disappointed in Swiss-Army. The materials they used in this case are sub-standard for business carry-on use. Totally disenchanted with the manufacturer. I intetnd to return the bag to Staples for a refund within the next few days.
large capacity for business travel
This product has a lifetime warranty, and is sold for under $150. That's great since it's better designed than items I've seen in the greater than $1000 price point. The inside detachable laptop bag is used daily as a purse. It's secure, and practical.
Quality is first rate. [...]
This is a perfect, do-it-all case for business, travel and weekend trips.
I have no problem with this case. I bought it after discovering I could carry two (2) Panasonic Toughbook (R) laptops in it at the same time, which is required due to certain work matters.
I use it to carry my laptop.
Great for business.

The only thing this bag lacks is zippers on the mesh pockets inside the front section. If the bag is set on its side the stuff in the mesh pockets slide out making it hard to find when you are in a hurry. This is the only draw back. Everything else is perfect.
I use this product to haul all my heavy books. This bag can handle all the torture I can dish out. The zippers and wheels are heavy duty and put up with a lot of abuse. The material is high quality.

Great product. Tons of space.
I love my wheeled briefcase. It holds everything I need for several classes at one time -- including my 17" laptop! It has lots of small mesh pockets that hold things in plain view -- pencils, pens, post-it notes, paperclips, board markers and everything else necessary in the course of the day of a very busy professor. It also has nice deep compartments that accommodate all my needs! All this, and it rolls along on smooth, super-quiet wheels.
Though I since returned it, I'd say to look in-store first, even if it costs more, because some handles were made better than others (i.e. too LITTLE force on the springs, and bent pins that lock the handle's joints). Wenger may have improved the handle now, as the latest bags seemed a little more sturdy?? If they could write in big red letters "IMPROVED HANDLE", and offer this bag in a leather version, Wenger could corner the market. I still rated the bag 4 stars because even if the handle broke and you couldn't return it immediately, it's still a very nice piece of luggage. I returned my Patriot for another brand (too bad, would like to have earned Rewards points!) I did so because that bag was leather, but I still have another non-wheeled Wenger computer bag which I just love. Wenger does provide an excellent warranty, so the Patriot may be worthwhile.

I am a field service engineer and use this bag extensively. It is by far one of the better ones i have used. It has enough space to carry anything i need. I especially like the seperate inner case for my laptop. The top of my handle is hard rubber and has never given me problems and I have never had problems extending the handle in the 7 months i have owned it.

Purchased this in 2007 and never had any issues with it thus far. It gets hauled around alot with heavy loads and aids in making airplane travels a breeze.
Lots of space, Durable, Easy to maneuver. This with the Swiss computer tote bag is a great combo. Stylish look with all the swiss logos on the zippers.

Nice overall pocket design, BUT HANDLE would not extend fully only after 6 months of OCASSIONAL USE!!!

I have owned two of these bags. The main advantage is the generous storage, but the top of the handle is plastic, and breaks on twisting the top handle while moving the bag off and on escalators or steps while fully loaded

This is one of the most useful bags I've ever had; when the handle isn't broken. I've had two handles break on me while using them in a very reasonable manner. I won't buy any Wenger items with a retractable handle. [...].

I absolutely love this case for business travel, EXCEPT I have returned 2 of them due to retractable handle breaking.
The case iteself is great for storing files, laptop, accesories. Nice pocket for storing small items and keeping them easily accessible.
I am pretty good at treating my luggage with care. The first time the handle broke was at O'Hare. I had to carry this bag and a duffle from one terminal to another. I returned it and got another that lasted a month as well. Broke at Detroit Metro airport. I actually sat behind two guys on a flight that had the same case and we all had handle issues.
I have seen at least 10 other people with this case, so it must be pretty popular. Unfortunately, I am back on the market for a new bag and can't find anything quite as nice storage-wise.
Got this on sale. I was just looking for a laptop case, but this had so many compartments for stowing away things. The laptop compartment has special zippers if you want to add a lock. Very nice design.
Perfect for carrying my laptop and client files (in redwells) between office and home - and it looks great - especially like the Swiss Army Knife logo on the zipper pulls -
