I send out a TON of postcards. I've found that if I have at least 8 going to the same place it saves me money (and time) to send them all in one of these envelopes. One bad thing I've found is when I put a ton of them in there it's harder to get it to seal properly. I have my clear packing tape handy for those cases and also put a band of tape around the center for extra support from splitting. That last part was a suggestion from the nice lady at the USPS!!
