Worst Stapler Ever
By StacyVerified Reviewer from New York, NY on 11/25/2008

Please bring back the original. This is too bulky and too heavy to use with one hand. Makes a great hammer, paperweight, or doorstop, but as a stapler, it's useless.

Great stapler. Has worked perfectly every time. Just nailed 22 pages with Stanley/Bostitch standard staple - no problem. I don't use Staples standard staples, though. Have had problems with them before. Also, it only takes standard staples (not 3/8", etc). It should do 25 pages OK. More than that, you'll run out of staple.

Everytime I used this stapler, either A. The staples did not go through the paper correctly (even when I was only trying to staple 2 pages!) or B. No staple came out whatsoever. This is BY FAR the WORST stapler that I have ever purchased! Never again will I buy a Staples brand stapler to save money! I purchased the Swingline stapler similar to this one and I love it!!!

If you are only stapling a few pages, use it as a standard desktop stapler, not handheld. The staples close tighter and are not so sloppy.

Up to 15 pages or so this stapler works fine. Anything above that and you have a 50/50 chance of needing a stapler remover.

I ordered this at my office. A few co workers of mine have one that looks just like this and is very lightweight and easy to push, I also have one of the light easy ones at home. I have very severe typing injury in my hands and this stapler is very painful to push. I don't see the light weight style anywhere on the website for sale.

I was very disappointed when I saw that the red one touch was not availabe to buy online. I loved the red one, so I decided to go with the one that was offered. I dont like it at all. From day one it has done nothing but jam up. I have to clear the staples out of it that jam every other time I use it. I would not recommend this stapler to no one.

I have the old model of this stapler (the plastic red and black one) and was dissapointed when that one was no where to be found on this site. This one is very bulky and large and does not easily fit in the palm of my hand like my old one. Luckily, my old one is still working, and I only purchased this one as a spare for the others in the office. This one still works fine, just don't expect to be able to pick it up to use it.

I purchased this stapler for work approximately 5 weeks ago. It initially worked like a charm, though it unquestionably makes a large and annoying snapping noise every time it staples. Lately it has started to jam recently, and I have to clear out the misaligned staples out about once every 4-5 uses. Not a great product.

Call again, promised issue credit and told me to throw away the replacement one again. Both customer rep. denied defective products acknowledgment but don't even bother to pick up both brand new staplers.

I had been coveting my co-workers one-touch stapler. I was so disappointed when the one I ordered arrived and it was a completely different stapler. This one is heavy and hard to use. AWFUL! Everything the original version wasn't. I don't understand why you would invent the perfect stapler and then ruin it. A store called Staples should sell a great stapler. You had it and then lost it. Please bring back the original, it was perfect just the way it was.

IT STOPS STAPLING ALL TOGETHER OR IT WILL CONTINUALY JAM. I AM CONSTANTLY REPLACING THEM OUT OF FRUSTRATION. TODAY AS I WRITE THIS REVIEW I AM BUYING ANOTHER BRAND FOR THE FIRST TIME. I saw a few bad reviews. Don't know what they expected because it is better then my two Swingline staplers. It is easy to load. Easy to hold. Easy to squeeze and it looks good too.
I have very painful hands and I can use this much easier (and pain free) than a regular stapler. It also goes through 30 pages effortlessly. Curls the staples on the back very tightly; no dangerous snags. If I needed more staplers... I would get more of this model.

I don't know why Staples ever changed the original to this, but whoever did it was probably having an awful day... This stapler is good for 1 thing and that's using it as a paper weight. It's heavy and bulky. You can only use it as a desktop stapler & you can't pick-it up & staple like you could with the original one. It's definitely not "one-touch" unless you just happen to be a terminator w/ iron fingers.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL STAPLER! IT'S SOOO MUCH BETTER!!!

It is true that the original was far better however, despite the size I have not experience any of the problems that others have stated. Of the employees that hold the stapler vertical to staple none have a problem holding it, everyone else just uses it on the desk. In fact the only complaint I have had was that it was TOO powerful. I have been able to staple 28 pages with it (although the staple was barely through...)

MY SAFETY BROKE AFTER 6 USES. WENT THRU PAPER 3 OUT OF 10 TIMES.
SO BIG, I CANT FIT IN MY HAND TO STAPLE. DESIGN IS UGLY.
THIS VERSION OF ONE TOUCH IS A JOKE. THE ORIGIANAL IS MUCH BETTER.
