I purchased 2 of these. The first one broke and had to be replaced the first day. Now the second one just broke. The design is flawed. You can only wheel on a flat surface. Do not navigate stairs . It seems that any pressure on the front unwheeled side tears it from the sides.

This item is on my going back to school list. I would not be able to carry everything I need to carry as a vision itinerant teacher. Plus, you can keep it open or collaspe it if you need the room in your car. I use it everyday for school. The only bad thing is that it only last for one school year, by the last two weeks of school it is on it's last leg.

We use this crate every day as a locker at home (I home school my 8th grader, Jacob). Then on Mondays, we haul it back and forth b/w the car trunk and his school building. He uses it during the day in the gym as a locker there (his school is a once-per-week school). It holds up to being manuevered b/w home and school and trunk very well, even the sides where the slats hold the frame in place. Don't have a need to break it down, so not sure how it would hold up under that type of use.

I love how the crate is expandable and easy to fold as well for storage. As a teacher, I'm lugging it all over and you have to pick it up to go upstairs. Th bad thing is that even though there are handles, you better make sure you don't have too much int here because the two gray sides are really flimsy. I'm on my second one and it's cracked a little already. I wish it was a little more durable and could hold more books and stuff. Teacher guides are BULKY

Staples is sending us a replacement. First cart started falling apart immediately after we received it, then last week bottom fell out after using it for about half a year. It's mainly use to carry lots of first class mail (instead of tugging around a mail tub we can wheel around this cart). I am a second grade school teacher and when I have to take home portfolios from school so that I can work on report cards, this crate is a must have. For the past few years I have been carrying a crate without wheels back and forth to my car in the parking lot and breaking my back to do so. Now I won't have to do that anymore! I used the rolling crate for carrying the things I needed for making a presentation to beginning teachers and it was a lifesaver. I had to park on the college campus and walk 2 1/2 blocks to the building where I would present. I would never have made it to the building had I not had the rolling cart. I only wish I would have purchased it sooner. If this one ever breaks, I will run out immediately and purchase another!
