I use it mostly for transfer files.
My daughter uses for projects that she does at home and then transfer the files to the flash drive and takes them to school.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Fast & dependable, Unfortunatly the flash drive I have broke within 2 months. The keychain attachment broke. I have an open hole on the end & cant carry it with keys or on a neck - clip. :-(

transferring code, other files between the work pc and home
and..
simply backing up the work pc, because I don't want to lose all of the local files I create and that I'm not sure if they're backed up anywhere
That was already too much info. About the product itself.
Couldn't be simpler: just plug it into port and you have another drive in "My Computer" where you drag files over.
The files transfer reasonably quick. I had never heard of PNY, and I'm one of those people who over-rely on the "importance" of major brands, but it's a good product.

My son uses this for all of his school. It holds alot of work, especially when doing his power point presentation. I had no problem with this USB at all. My son loves it.

This stick works just fine, and the only hassle is the included software for managing files, passwords, etc. There's no way to shut it off if all you want is a 2G stick. It also complains if you shut it down using the windows disconnect. But, good value for the money. I have them (buy at least two) with me right now, one for pictures and business school assignments, and one for work.

This is so easy to use. Just put it in my USB and droped in my files. The draw back is if you have many files it may take you some time to get it all on the drive. Best part can be used between different systems. I copied my stuff on XP and put it on Vista and back on XP with modifications via Vista and had no problems reading the info.
Wish they had labels for these. I have like 30 of these and with no labels it can get confusing. Buy a sharpie to label them when you buy this.

Im a college student so this product comes in handy alot. It has so much more memory and storage than my first USB Drive. With this product, I do not have to worry about a file or project being too large in memory. I can just save it and there are no problems.

We bought this product to transfer files from my Dad's old 98SE computer to his new Vista one because it said there was a driver download to make it work on the old machine. Everytime we attempted to open the driver file, it was lacking the pdf format necessary to open. Maybe it was just us, but we tried several times with the same results. For use with Windows XP, I am sure it will work fine.

The USB includes software that installs when the flashdrive is docked with any computer. This software is slow to install, and not appropriate when using the drive to share data on someone else's computer. There is no easy way to prevent it's loading.

All the flash drives are not reliable. Data on the flash drives can easily be erased by incorrectly disconnected from the USB port or

The avarage size of a working project in our office might be anywhere from 50MB to 1GB. Moving this data, for testing purposes, can be difficult, but this tool makes it easy.
