If you like to dump all your songs in one big folder and have the MP3 player play them randomly then this will be OK with you. Will not index, select, or play songs in any order--i.e. by Artist or Album. The menu system is very elementary and you have to go through a long process every time you want to switch from one artist or album to another.I don't recommend. My Sansa 512 for[$]two years ago is way better.

This item was bought for my daughter, who uses it often. She really seems to enjoy it. The only problem that we have had with it (early on) is that the headphones were not any good and we had to buy new ones. I'm not sure if I would recommend this product or not.

This was my first purchase of an MP3 Player so I am not comfortable with using this type of technology. I wanted to be able to backup the music I had stored on my laptop at work because it gets reimaged every year and I lose the music files if I don't back them up. This MP3 player allowed me to do that with ease.

Fist let me say that I'm a fan of cheap MP3 players versus flashy iPods....all I want are a few tunes for the gym or a bus ride. My current player has become unreliable (after a solid two years of use) so I bought this one.I have used it at the gym only 3 times, an hour each time. It will not turn on now, and NO the battery's not dead. The screen flashed on once for a second and there were all these weird dots and dashes. The thing is totally fried and broken already.Too bad, it seemed like a nice little player.[...]

Great Product For the Price
By Daddy-o from New Jersey on 12/25/2007
Pros:
Easy To Use
Describe Yourself:
Practical
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I purchased this MP3 player for my 8 year old because I didn't want to spend the money on an IPOD and I couldn't be happier. The sound quality is very good. It gets better if you use higher quality earphones.
This is my first time using an MP3 player and I had minimal trouble figuring out how to load it with songs.
The one major shortfall of this product is the display is small and a little difficult to read. This makes it a bit troublesome to find a particular song.
You will be very happy with this player if you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to an IPOD.
