It doesn't work with WMP and you have to convert your movie files to MTV files. I am still having problems after spending numerous hours putting music on my player and it reading "No Authority" or "File Unknown". If the clerk was more informed as to what the product couldn't do, I don't think I would have purchased this product. Oh, you also have to download programs from Omnitech to make the player work. What a waste or time and money. I guess I am following suit and purchasing an IPOD already!

Folks.....I paid a reasonable price for this unit and found it to be a great little player. Buying it to play video ? Hello....it has a 1.8in. screen! I'm a drummer and bought this player for practice. If you want to be part of the Nation...spend the cash. If you want to enjoy some tunes...this gets it done !

Not exactky the best, but it works.

I got this for Christmas and at first i could not figure out how to use it at all. The FM stereo does NOT work at all. And yes, I have read the manaul several times now. It does download everything to files on it but it does NOT play videos whatsoever. I use it for the gym so it does what it needs to do. What does bother me is you get to download files, like say I downloaded my gym music file but it plays it with all the other music. It does not keep it sorted. So while I am at the gym I have to keep sorting through sappy love songs or not so good workout music just to get to my good stuff to keep me pumped.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TO PLAY VIDEO FILES
By EP in LAVerified Reviewer from Los Angles, Ca on 1/15/2008
Cons:
Difficult To Use, Does Not Play MP4 Files, Flimsy Construction
Describe Yourself:
Video Professional
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This product was initially advertised as being able to play a variety of video file formats. That was not the case--using downloaded software you could convert those files to the .mtv used by this product. The listing still has incorrect information, including the included batteries and the "video recorder" function. The product doesn't need AAA batteries and it is not a video recorder. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT unless you just need a cheap MP3 player.

don't expect to use it for videos
By acVerified Reviewer from New York, NY on 12/30/2007
Cons:
Difficult To Use, Hard To Setup, Won't do what's implied
Describe Yourself:
Tech Savvy
Primary use:
Personal
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This product's description is misleading. Despite its name, this device was never intended to play MP4 (Mpeg 4 or Mpeg4 part 14) files. It can only play a very limited number of formats, after they are converted using software that can be downloaded from the Omnitech site. However, this conversion program fails for many of the useful formats it claims to handle. The best advice is to forget the hassle of trying to play any videos on this thing; it will never play MP4s.
