Bought two spindles yesterday from staples when it's on sale. I burned 15-16 music cds with Nero7 in the night, all truned out good. Very reliable. Compared with Philips CD-R I used before which averagely has 1 bad disc out of every 10, SONY is much more satisfying.

Didn't expect this from a company that touts itself to be a leader in audio technology. Did you get to be too big a company, Sony, to start cutting away on the quality of your product? Even a CD/DVD unit I recently purchased had to be returned TWICE due to defects in manufacturing.

I made a mistake on the label, (which you also sold me previously). When I tried to peel the label off, the magnetic media came off the disk also, making the disc unusable. The product claimed 48x speed, but would not burn faster than 16X on my CD burner, unlike competing products which all burn at 48x with out any problem.

We use the CDs to make copies of church services recorded digitally. The copies are made on a high speed, multiple disk synchronous recorder which requires media of the highest quality. Our worst case on a spindle of 100 is one drop out. This is as good as CDs specifically sold for high speed recording. (Note: Even the 1 drop out would probably be OK for single CD recording which is much less exacting than multiple disk synchronous recording.) The only "name" brand CD of comparable quality that we have found is [...].
