In addition to the typical uses for a write-only CD, we send demos, promotional info, and many types of information usually in PDF format. Memorex blank DVDs offer consistently good burns. Out of 100 discs I might encounter one bad one, but that's pretty rare.

Recently, Memorex started putting these shiny squares on the surface that makes reading the labels difficult.

The quality of the product is extremely good, however, I'll continue to buy other brands until Memorex takes off those annoying squares... it's purely an asthetic thing, but it's become a pet peeve of mine :(

These are some of the better disks I have used in terms of speed and compatibility. However, the designs on the disc make it hard to label. If you write with a Sharpie, the writing appears uneven because of the reflective squares on parts of the disk. If you put an adhesive label on, those same squares cause a lot of trapped air and bubbling. This is fine for personal use, but not so good for professional and archival purposes.

I have used 1,000s of these with maybe 1 or 2 bad burns. I have noticed not all burners like all disks. I have 2 Sony burners one loves these the other is not as good with them. I have used the Sony brand and have more failures than with these.
Go figure. Anyway if youir burner likes these your gonna love the price.

Usually I will see 1 or 2 disks in 100 with problems,out of 15 disks I tried 6 with errors or other burn rejects,switched back to my usaual brand no problems.

Very reliable for storing data, movies and music. My two favorite brands of blank DVDs are Memorex and HP. Brands like Verbatim and Playo have given me too much trouble in the past.
